Using tweet call to actions such as “please retweet” funnily enough increases retweets. Other call-to-actions that work well are “check out…”, “follow this person”, “please vote”, “help me”, “what do you think”.

Here is another couple of points that will help:

1. If you push your RSS via twitter then make sure they are sent out during daytime between 8am to 5pm.
2. Find a way to spread tweats out so users have time to digest them.
