Twitter looks set to release some kick-ass new features that will upset more than a few 3rd party client providers.
One of the challenges they face is to keep the simplicity of use of it’s application. If they make it too complex then they risk alienating die hard fans.
Some of the changes include:
- an in-house url shortening service
- a feature that shows number of followers online
- a drop down list of categories for easier account following applications
- improved keyword search (presumably to coincide with the launch of their advertising platform).
